Dunedin is the next town north of our base in Clearwater. We have one photographed job here so far — a curbless shower — and a great deal of work in the streets either side of it. This page says exactly that, rather than pretending otherwise.

Much of Dunedin is older Florida housing: block on slab, some of it from the 1950s and 1960s, with original galvanized or early copper still in the walls, and bathrooms that have been remodelled once or twice around plumbing nobody moved.
That makes three jobs common here: a bathroom remodel where the rough-in has to be corrected before tile, a repipe when the old line finally pinholes, and a water heater replacement where the closet was built around the heater that was there in 1985.

Not always. A single pinhole can be repaired. When leaks start repeating, or pressure drops across the whole house, a repipe is the cheaper answer over five years. We look at the pipe, the pressure and the history before recommending one.
If the floor structure allows the drain and slope to be set for it, yes — and it has to be decided at rough-in, not at tile. The Dunedin shower on this page is curbless.
